Prescription - Register or LoginIn England, all NHS prescription items are priced at £9. This means that each individual item on a prescription – and not the total prescription itself – costs £9. If you are picking up two or more prescription items per month, you can save money on your NHS prescriptions by ordering a Prescription Prepayment Certificate (PPC). The PPC is a prepaid card that lets you collect as many prescriptions as you require over a set period of three or 12 months.
In Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, NHS prescriptions are free.
